The Makers Hub Launches $50,000 Giving Tuesday 2026 Campaign to Invest in Compton’s Makers, Families and Future

A Compton non-profit joins the global Giving Tuesday movement with a call for individuals, businesses and community partners to give back locally

The Compton based 501(c)(3) nonprofit is inviting individuals, businesses, corporations and community partners to help raise $50,000 to keep tools, equipment, classes, workshops, repair services and hands on learning accessible to people throughout the community.

Giving Back Where It Can Be Felt

The Makers Hub believes Giving Tuesday is about more than making a donation on a single day.

It is about deciding what kind of community people want to help build. A contribution to the campaign can help create access to resources that can be difficult or expensive for an individual to obtain alone. At The Makers Hub, those shared resources include tools, specialized equipment, workspace, instruction, repair assistance and opportunities to learn practical skills.

The organization’s Tool Library allows people to borrow tools rather than purchasing everything themselves. Its Makerspace creates opportunities to learn, experiment and turn ideas into physical products. Workshops and repair programs give community members opportunities to develop skills while extending the usefulness of items they already own.
